Who we are

Topology Partners is operated by Hoyt Gong, doing business as Topology Partners, [postal address], Boston, Massachusetts. Questions: hoytgong@gmail.com.

What we collect

  • What you send us: your name, work email, title, company, website, headcount, years in business, the systems you use, rough record counts and anything you want left out. This comes through our forms, by email, when you book a call, or on a call. We take notes on calls, and we tell you first if we use a note-taking tool.
  • Record-count screenshots, if you choose to send them. Please crop them to the counts, with no names or email addresses.
  • Your written OK naming the buyers we may introduce you to, and our records of each introduction.
  • Business contact details for outreach: names, titles, work emails and company details from business-data providers (such as Apollo.io) and public company websites. We check that addresses are valid with a verification service.
  • Technical data: when you load this site, our host (Vercel) receives your IP address and browser details. We use no analytics, advertising cookies or tracking pixels. The booking pop-up saves one setting in your browser (whether you closed it), and that setting never leaves your browser.

What we never want

Don't send us customer or business records, passwords, credentials or payment details, through this site or by email. We don't ask for them, and we delete them if they arrive. Your records never pass through Topology Partners. If you license data, it goes from you to the buyer under your contract with that buyer.

How we use it

We use your information to check your fit with buyers, reply to you, schedule and hold calls, make the introductions you approve, and compare any offers you share with us. We also use it to prove our introductions to buyers and meet legal and tax obligations. We email businesses we think may be interested; every email tells you how to opt out, and we honor opt-outs.

Who we share it with

  • Buyers you approve, only after you confirm in writing which buyers we may introduce you to. We send each of them, usually through its referral form or link, your company details and the contact details of the person it should talk to. From then on, the buyer handles that information under its own privacy policy.
  • Service providers that run our business for us: hosting (Vercel), forms (Formspree), scheduling (Cal.com), email (Gmail) and our email-sending tool. They may use your information only to provide their service to us.
  • When the law requires it, or to protect our rights.

We don't sell your information

We don't sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. We introduce you to a buyer only because you've told us to. If you then sign with that buyer, it may pay us a referral fee (see our Terms).

How long we keep it

  • Form submissions, emails and call notes: up to 12 months after our last contact, unless you sign with a buyer through us.
  • Record-count screenshots: deleted within 30 days of your introductions, or right away if we don't introduce you.
  • Your written OK, introduction records and fee records: 7 years, to prove introductions to buyers and for tax purposes.
  • If you opt out of email, we keep your address on a do-not-contact list so we never email you again.

Your choices

You can ask us to show, correct or delete what we hold about you. Email hoytgong@gmail.com and we'll reply within 30 days. We'll keep only what we must, such as your written OK, fee records or opt-out. We can't delete information a buyer already holds, but we'll tell you which buyers we introduced you to so you can ask them directly.

Analytics

We'll update this page before we add any analytics (for example, PostHog), and say what it collects. We won't use analytics for advertising, and we'll mask form fields so their contents aren't recorded.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards, including two-factor authentication on our accounts and access limited to the founder. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we'll notify you as the law requires.

Other

We don't track you across other sites, so Do Not Track signals don't change anything here. This site is for businesses and isn't directed at children. If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new date.
