Who we are
Topology Partners is operated by Hoyt Gong, doing business as Topology Partners, [postal address], Boston, Massachusetts (“Topology Partners”, “we”).
What we do, and what we don't
Topology Partners is an independent referral intermediary. With your written OK, we introduce your company to AI data buyers, usually through those buyers' public referral programs, and help you compare the offers you receive. We are not a buyer of data. We never receive, store, process, de-identify or transfer your business records. We are not a party to any agreement between you and a buyer, and we don't guarantee any buyer's performance under it. Each buyer alone is responsible for its onboarding, verification, scoping, de-identification, data security, use of your data and payment to you.
Not your agent or adviser
We don't act as your agent, broker or fiduciary, and we don't negotiate for you unless we agree to in writing. Nothing we say is legal, tax, privacy or valuation advice. Have your own counsel review any buyer agreement before you sign.
How we are paid
Buyers pay us, not you. If you sign with a buyer that runs a referral program, that buyer may pay Topology Partners a referral fee. Fees differ by buyer, and some buyers pay us nothing. The amounts we know are on our home page, and we confirm them to you in writing before you approve any introduction. That means some buyers pay us more than others. You pay Topology Partners nothing, and our fee isn't deducted from your payment, but we can't see how a buyer sets its prices.
No guarantee
An introduction doesn't guarantee an offer, a sale or any payment. Each buyer decides on its own whether to make an offer and on what terms, and may change or withdraw an offer before you sign. Buyer information on this site comes from each buyer's public pages (or press reports, where noted) as of the date shown. It may change, and it isn't an offer or an estimate for your company.
Estimator figures
The calculator on our home page shows figures from micro1's and Handshake AI's own public estimators, sampled on the date shown and interpolated between sampled points. They are the buyers' indicative figures, not offers, valuations or estimates by Topology Partners. What your data is actually worth depends on the data itself, your rights to license it and buyer demand.
Names and trademarks
micro1, Scale AI, Mercor, Handshake AI, Turing, Troveo and the software products named on this site are trademarks of their owners. We use their names only to identify them. Topology Partners is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of them.
Your responsibilities
Only share information you have the right to share. Don't send us records, passwords, credentials, payment details, or screenshots that show personal details. Before you license any data, make sure your contracts, privacy notices, employee notices and call-recording consents allow it. That's your call and your counsel's.
Disclaimer
The site and our services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. That includes warranties about the accuracy or completeness of buyer information, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- (a) we're not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or revenue;
- (b) we're not liable for any buyer's acts or omissions, including its offers, its handling or use of your data, or any failure to pay; and
- (c) our total liability for any claim about the site or our services is limited to the greater of $100 or the referral fees we actually received relating to your company in the 12 months before the claim.
Governing law
Massachusetts law governs these terms. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in Suffolk County, Massachusetts. [Counsel to confirm; revisit when the entity is formed.]
General
We may update these terms by posting a new version here with a new date. If any part is unenforceable, the rest still applies. A signed written agreement between you and Topology Partners about a specific introduction takes priority over these terms.
